“Why do we go to high places?” @nytmag writer Sam Anderson asks. “What do we want from them? We want to see. What do we want to see? A large part of what we want to see, it turns out, is ourselves seeing.” While on assignment for @nytmag, the photographer @brianfinke captured people capturing people — themselves and others — on top of New York’s highest public observation decks: the Empire State Building, One World Observatory and Top of the Rock.
