The photojournalist @canepari_til_i_die took this video of the Colorado River in the Glen Canyon National Recreation Area, near Utah State Route 95. @canepari_til_i_die struck it lucky with his #nytassignment earlier this month: He spent 6 days driving from Las Vegas to Denver, zigzagging along dirt roads and stopping in national parks. @canepari_til_i_die was surprised by the way the landscape changed as he drove. “It feels like every 10-20 miles the environment would shift,” he said. “Canyons. Deserts. Mountains. Lakes. Snow. Pine forests. Birch forests. Gorges. Rivers.” His favorite part of the trip: the storms. “They feel so wild out there.
