This is one of a series of images I shot in 1977 in Bangladesh to document the aftermath of the 1971 War of Independence in which #Bangladesh, then called East Pakistan, won its freedom from [West] Pakistan. This conflict had left millions of children homeless, hungry or orphaned. My wife Meredith and I spent 3 months volunteering at this desitute rehabilitation camp outside of #Dhaka. Here the children are lining up for a daily ration of dried milk and survival bisquits served by the organization "Food for the Hungry." I was deeply moved by what I saw and want to share a few of these images, some of them for the first time.
