Scientists told me I would be able to hear its footfalls in the jungle but I didn’t believe them... I was wrong. YES, you can ABSOLUTELY hear it’s heavy footfalls over other noises in the jungle. The bodymass and volume of this tarantula is the heaviest in the world. They will eat anything they can overpower - as big as a bird sleeping on a nest or as small as an earthworm. They have potent hematoxin venom. They cannot chew so the prey has to be dissolved by the hematoxin and then sucked thru the fangs that also operate as straws.
