Photo: @camdavidsonphoto // Since 1999, I have shot for several NGO's that work in Haiti. After the January 2010 earthquake, I spent close to a month in Haiti making images for the community Coalition for Haiti, a medical NGO from Northern Virginia. One of the projects I was the team leader and took a group of volunteers up into the mountains east of Jacmel on the southern coast. Our destination was the remote mountain top village of Sequin. Our four-wheel drive truck can go just but anywhere and it was put to the challenge in our attempt to reach Sequin. Think of the worst rutted-road you've ever seen and then throw in dips, gullies and boulders and you will be close to the path that we took to reach our temporary clinic. When you think of Haiti, many people think of tropical views or of a hard, dry land without topsoil. That is true. The village of Sequin sits at 5000 plus feet and is often shrouded in fog. These sheep were tied to stones in a field near our medical clinic. #haiti #sheep #ngo #onassignment @tpsinstagram
