Do casting directors recognize some inner darkness in Benjamin Walker? In a recent interview with @ニューヨーク・タイムズ, the actor wondered (jokingly) why directors keep tapping him for homicidal parts. He wielded an ax in the 2012 flop movie “Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter.” And soon, he’ll be portraying the investment banker and recreational killer #PatrickBateman in the upcoming Broadway adaptation of @bretellis’s controversial 1991 novel, “American Psycho.” The 33-year-old actor has found unexpected sympathy for his character, though. “I think it is counterproductive to look at someone and go, I would never do that, I would never be like that,” he told @ニューヨーク・タイムズ. “There’s a bit of Patrick Bateman in all of us.” The photographer @chadbatka took this portrait of Benjamin while on #nytassignment. @apthemusical opens at the Gerald Schoenfeld Theater on April 21.
