Farmers pond, silently veiled in trees, at a village on the outskirts of #Gyumri, #Armenia.

Last week was a time of deep wandering. While hosting a photo workshop in the ancient city of Gyumri, I needed space. Needed to breath. Meandering with my workshop co-instructor, photographer Anush Babajanyan — follow @AnushBabajanyan here on IG for more beautiful, visual poems, of Armenia, the Caucasus and beyond — we revisited a farm where one year ago Anush and I spent time at while working on the #Ghostlands story for @ナショナルジオグラフィック (publishing in the April 2016 issue). This land of rolling fields offers so much to the eye, the heart, deeply welcoming, profoundly giving.
