I was planning out my future Umbria Photo Workshop and thought it would be fun for my guests to shoot a #vintagecarclub. On an Italian country road, I saw an adorable tiny Fiat zip by and decided to catch up with it. The driver saw me trying to gesture him over to the side of the road. Looking alarmed, he nonetheless pulled over. I explained my mission to find a car club for my workshop students to photograph. He was delighted with the idea and every year now my workshop guests ride around with the proud owners and their colorful cars, as we parade through the village of Bagnaia in #umbria on a Sunday afternoon. Afterwards they treat us to gelato. It's such a great way to connect with the locals, glimpse into their culture, and have a wonderful afternoon together.
