It was that awareness that here found me lying down in a trough of unspeakable mud and slime to capture these Rockhopper Penguins heading back to their nests through a “forest” of tussock grass in the Falkland Islands. The look of surprise on this penguin’s face registers that this particular corner of its route looked a little different than usual. However, the hesitation was brief, and I took great satisfaction in the fact that my presence did not deter his mission; in the end, it simply walked over me and continued on its march towards home. #rockhoppers #penguins #Falklands #FalklandIslands
