Earlier this month, Rachel Bloom (@racheldoesstuff) won a @ゴールデングローブ賞 award for best actress in a television comedy or musical. “It tastes like winning,” she told a reporter from @eonline after licking her trophy. “And power. And the Illuminati.” Her show, @cw_crazyxgf, is both a modern comedy and a twinkling, cheery musical. And yet the subversive series manages to set women’s uncomfortable truths to music, mixing the occasional Shakespeare reference with heart-tugging show tunes and anal-sex jokes. The 28-year-old @racheldoesstuff, who’s also an executive producer on the show, stars as Rebecca Bunch, a determined, if deluded, lawyer-in-love.
