Congratulations to the Citizens’ Consultative Committees (CCCs) on their 50th Anniversary! Thank you to all the CCC pioneers, members, volunteers and community partners for your dedication and services to the grassroots movement.
The CCCs, under The People’s Association, are an important part of our grassroots movement. They were formed just before our independence, at a time of racial riots and communal tensions. The CCCs coordinate constituency activities, provide assistance to the disadvantaged, and help to explain Government policies to residents. (MCI Photo by Terence Tan)
