The 7’8” pintail handshaped for Tom Curren (@curfuffle) by Maurice Cole (@mcsurfboards) in October 1991 rocked the surfing world. Not only did it walk Tom into the final of the only Hawaiian event he ever won; not only was it famously, almost notoriously logo-free. It also happened to fit under Curren’s feet like some sort of wizard’s blade, which begs the question: is this the greatest surfboard ever made?
