Viewing an exhibition of SAF’s beginnings, before the SAF50 dinner on the parade square at Pasir Laba Camp. This is exactly how my old locker used to (or was supposed to) look – lined with brown paper, and everything arranged neatly in place. J
So many memories – of 5BX, parades, drills, extra drills :), and old instructors, comrades, and friends.
Was happy to meet many of them again, and see many pioneer servicemen at the dinner too. Their fighting spirit started us off on our journey. We all had a great time exchanging war stories!
Thanks also to Singaporeans for supporting National Service, and taking pride in our soldiers. May our next 50 years be as peaceful and secure as the last 50. - LHL (MCI Photo by Terence Tan)
