"This was my first time seeing #KidRock — he’s not an artist you’d typically find on my play list — but all I can say now is I wish it hadn’t taken this long. He’s the kind of performer photographers love, because he’s all spark and swagger, with a stage presence that fixes the eye and draws the camera. The show was in Jersey, but some of these fans were a little rougher around the edges than your typical WS commuter. They clearly haven’t gotten the memo that you’re not supposed to fly the Stars and Bars anymore. Or more likely they did see the memo and that’s precisely why they were flying that flag. It all made for a lively show, that’s for sure. Trying to keep shooting with one hand while fending off the drunk women who were trying to climb over me to get to the Kid is why I get paid the big bucks!"
