Photographing #theMelvins was an intense experience. I decided to photograph from #BuzzOsborne’s side of the stage, since I considered him to be the most unpredictable of the trio. Luckily, I was rewarded for my decision. Throughout the night #KingBuzzo was bouncing off the walls and came dangerously close to falling on me; several times I had to shield my camera from his swinging guitar. This photograph captures a moment when Buzz was stationary and intensely staring me down as if I was the only person in the venue. As a photographer, you live for moments like this — the unpredictability of a live performance and the ability to photograph a moment between you and a rock star."
