"People forget I stopped shooting music more than 30 years ago. Maybe they don’t remember because I have regular exhibits of photos taken mostly during my #RollingStone tour of duty. Not long ago I had such an exhibit here in Santa Fe; Brad Wilk, then drummer for the band #Audioslave, happened into the gallery and saw my work, which he quite liked. We met and he said he wanted me to tour with Audioslave for a few days; the band wanted photos like I shot 'back in the day.' I explained that I didn’t shoot anymore, that was then, this was now. I resisted, he persisted, I succumbed. I sensed it would end badly, and it did. The band was shocked at my age and I realized I was out of my element. Nevertheless, I got a few good images to accompany my damaged ego, one of which is this shot of #ChrisCornell fooling around during sound check at the Warfield Theatre in San Francisco, March 2003.” As told to @Rolling Stone by photographer @baronwolman
