"During my tour of duty for @Rolling Stone I was shooting all the time and had little opportunity to join a band on tour. One brief exception was in 1968, when I accompanied the #JeffBeck Group from L.A. to San Francisco for their gig at the Fillmore — the Carousel Ballroom version. The band recruited me — or did I offer? — to be their official hometown tour guide. After cruising Fisherman’s Wharf, riding a cable car and driving down crooked Lombard Street we — #RodStewart, #RonnieWood and I — crossed the Golden Gate Bridge to Sausalito, the picturesque waterfront village popular with tourists and locals alike. Our little outing ended with drinks in Sausalito’s famed No Name Bar, a musicians’ hangout since 1959." As told to RS by photographer @baronwolman
