Massive #Armenian art instillation — Labyrinth of fuel pipes.

Likely a legacy of the Soviet era, this utterly fascinating, never ending Christo-esque art project serpentines, twirls and arches itself throughout the entire landlocked nation, bringing fuel to homes for heating and cooking. Some may see these dragons as ghastly, a landscape of metal stretching for thousands of kilometers — these pipes are ubiquitous everywhere in Armenia.

I felt this industrial tubing oddly welcoming and profound, possibly the largest art installation on the planet, quiet yet intensely beautiful in their bizarre grandeur.
