Today we announced the addition of two major works to our evening sales this May: Mark Rothko’s majestic 'Untitled (Yellow and Blue)' from 1954, which boasts distinguished provenance including more than 30 years in the collection of Mr. & Mrs. Paul Mellon, and Vincent van Gogh’s 'L'Allée des Alyscamps' from 1888, which the artist painted side-by-side with then-close friend Paul Gauguin during his celebrated Arles period.
Both works next on public view in #NYC beginning 1 May. #Rothko #VanGogh ?
