Yuval Carmi, a distance #running coach, leads a workout with a group of young runners in #TelAviv. In 2013, the photographer @tamirhasacellphone, who travels often to Israel, met a high school civics teacher who told him about a track and field club made up mostly of African migrants and students of lower socioeconomic status in south #TelAviv. “I went with him to practice half an hour later,” he said. This February, @tamirhasacellphone returned to continue to document the team, who call themselves The Alley Athletes.
