Bidding adieu to the beauty of winter, the passing vernal equinox, a fond farewell of cascading flakes.

Earlier this season, the talented team from West Stockbridge Town Hall brushed the sidewalks along Main Street in front of @shakerdam, a 185-year-old yellow building that houses my gallery and coffeehouse.

While some may consider winter a period of dread, I relish in its majesty. This past season was nothing less than an astounding experience, a witness to how alive the earth is.

While I will miss the physical presence of a liquid as a solid, soon the earth will burst with color, life will wriggle from grounds vestibules as spring envelops.

Till the next solstice, goodbye winter. You inspired me.
