Bison graze in a snowy field inside the northern boundary of #Yellowstone National Park. Partners under the Interagency Bison Management Plan are proposing the removal of 900 bison near the northern boundary this winter to control the population growth and prevent a potential mass migration of bison out of the park and into the adjacent areas of Montana. According the the National Park Service,
"During the winter of 2015, it is anticipated public and tribal treaty hunting in Montana will remove 300 to 400 bison, while another 500 to 600 #bison could be shipped to meat processing or research facilities following capture at the Stephens Creek facility."
