On my first assignment for @ナショナルジオグラフィック I spent weeks camped on a 19,000 foot shoulder of Mt Ampato excavating 500 year old Inca human sacrifices. It was incredibly hard. I went blind in my left eye from a ruptured blood vessel. But my vision eventually came back and we made history recovering Juanita, the Peruvian Ice Maiden. It was an amazing way to start a career.
