I think that Instagram #fitness and #fitspo accounts (myself included) can lead people to have unrealistic perceptions. We don't show our worst moments, our slip ups and our down days. We don't show every single meal and every single workout. We post photos with good lighting and a flattering filter. You don't actually know what these people are doing behind the scenes. You might think the girls you follow on Instagram are perfect, but they're not. Well at least I'm not! I struggle to push myself in the gym sometimes and I slip up on my diet. I don't want you to get an unrealistic idea of who I am and what I do - I'm not perfect, I'm far from it. Girls can get hung up on other girls bodies and wanting to have abs or a thigh gap like them. We need to remain realistic. I am 6 foot tall and resemble a giraffe, I am naturally going to have a thigh gap. However, I might never be able to achieve the super muscular, thick and strong bodies that I admire. I know my body type and I've accepted that. Love your body, don't be too hard on yourself, and take everything you see on social media with a pinch of salt ? Oh, and indulge over Christmas, I know I will be ??? #girlgains
