We hosted the first ?? Ice Climbing World Cup at the @bozemanicefest over the second week in December. The event was presented by @ザ・ノースフェイス and saw 65 competitors from 12 nations ply the plywood to vie for the win at the first of six World Cup events. The comp went with out hitches - the Moscow team humbling the rest of us with their mastery of darting mono points into the 3/4" CDX wood and locking steins to knee height. This fine 45 foot, overhanging structure is going to be reset on the Gallatin County Fairgrounds so climbers from near and far can practice the very arcane subset of competitive dry tool climbing on a regular basis.
