To each their own. ~ It was a cold and blustery day at Hyalite Reservoir on the twenty second day of the eleventh month.~ The ice fishermen were out braving freezing temps and wind in hopes of a lucky strike. Standing on ice for fun is no different than climbing on ice for fun. We seek a break from the world of $4.95 and deadlines. The goal is to come back with a smile and be happy about $4.95 and deadlines. ❄️❄️❄️ My buddies out ice fishing probably think ice climbers have a few screws loose. Which we do. Those of us with loose screws are always trying to tighten them up. We are the creative, high energy people looking to make the most of life. I surround myself with loose screws 'cause it makes me seem normal. ??? Yesterday I got my lucky strike and in the process tightened up a few screws. In the back of the canyon, high up on a cliff is fang of ice first climbed in 97 by #alexlowe and Jim Earl. @kephoto and I had the silly idea to establish a new route. Somehow between a long approach, Kris moving to Morocco, taking a block to my iliac crest and some extensive prep work it took us two seasons to get it done.
