Phnom Penh. 16/12/2014: Villagers from Kampong Speu province who were affected by 'Okhna' (honorary title given or sold to usually wealthy citizens for their contribution to the state) Ly Yong Phat's sugar plantation, which, at one point, was financed by ANZ Royal bank, showed up in front of the bank's head office, seeking a response to several meetings they had about a compensation for the 300 people who had their land taken away. ANZ Royal bank, who has a public stance about social responsibility and ethical behaviour, denies any wrongdoing as Mr. Ly Yong Phat’s loan was reimbursed.
