This week’s #PurpleBlobOfTheWeek is about as close to a slam dunk as you can get. A hurricane force storm has formed in the North Atlantic and is already generating seas over 50 feet. Perhaps the most impressive part about this system is that it's interacting with a 1043mb high pressure system over Newfoundland to set up an incredible fetch of winds over 50kts aimed at Europe. A significant XXL swell is expected to spread through portions of western Europe through the second half of the work week.
