Ordinary stories matter. That’s the idea behind #StoryCorps, an oral history project founded by Dave Isay, winner of this year’s million-dollar TED Prize. He and his team are dedicated to helping people listen to each others’ stories. They do it by bringing two people -- strangers or loved ones -- into a recording booth to ask each other thoughtful questions about their lives. So far, 100,000 Americans have participated in StoryCorps and all of their stories are kept in the U.S. Library of Congress. Hear seven of Dave’s favorites at on.ted.com/7favorites
