This majestic cave was carved by melting ice pouring down the face of a glacier. In winter months, glaciers form when snow compacts into heavy ice and slides down the mountain. In summer, the ice melts and rivers of water carve out massive cave networks in the glaciers. Explorer Eddy Cartaya spends his days rappelling into these glacial caves and mapping how they connect.
