This half-built house is ready for a family to move in. It’s part of a public housing project created by architect Alejandro Aravena to house 100 families in need. Instead of limiting them to cramped spaces, he builds the half of the house that takes more money and expertise, then allows the family to build the rest when they can afford to expand. “You provide the frame, and from then on, families take over,” Alejandro says in his #TEDTalk.
