Met Philippine President Aquino in Beijing and Nay Pyi Taw last week, but was happy to welcome him to Singapore today. He’s here for “The World in 2015 Gala Dinner” organised by The Economist.
We talked about the progress of reconstruction efforts following Typhoon Haiyan last year, as well as ongoing regional issues.
The Philippine economy is doing well under President Aquino’s administration. I look forward to strengthening the good relations between our countries. – LHL
