Young men from this village are away 8 months of the year working outside to make enough money to live. Before 1972-73 there were so many trees around this village it would take a knife to cut brush to walk. Over 70 percent of food insecure people live in rural areas of Africa, Asia, Latin America and the Near East. Many of them are family farmers, especially smallholders.
