Congrats to Iskandar Jalil, who recently received the Japanese Foreign Minister's Commendation for promoting appreciation for pottery and Japanese ceramic art in Singapore.

Pak Iskandar has raised ceramic art in Singapore to a high level. I have presented several of his unique pieces to other world leaders, and felt proud when they expressed appreciation for his artistry.

Pak Iskandar has also been generous in nurturing young artists. He has become a role model and inspiration to many.
