Ringo has been glued to my side for six days straight. He lets me cuddle him and cry into his neck and squeeze him tight without moving an inch. Right now he is spooning my leg.

Tomorrow we are flying to see you. Or, we are flying to Costa Rica (the doctors said I can travel now). I don't know where you are. I'm scared. I'm scared I won't be able to take it and I'm scared I might. But I want to be in your house and sleep in your bed and hug your mom and see your family and read our favorite books and cuddle with the dogs and lie in your hammock and burn palo santo and pray that one day I will feel you here, close.

Time is moving so slowly.
