Hosted lunch for PM of Laos, Thongsing Thammavong, yesterday (pic on top). Many Laotian officials have studied English in Singapore, including the DPM and Foreign Minister, Dr Thongloun Sisoulith (pic below). Dr Thongloun spent 3 months here 13 years ago at Nanyang Polytechnic, and has fond memories of his stay here. :) There are now direct flights between Singapore and Vientiane.
