Tonight’s Evening Sale of Impressionist, Modern & Surrealist Art at Sotheby’s #London totaled £163.5 million / $266.7 million – the highest-ever total for any auction held by Sotheby’s in London.

On either side of auctioneer Henry Wyndham you can see two of the night’s highlights: Pissarro’s restituted masterwork 'Le Boulevard Montmartre, matinée de printemps' from 1897, which achieved £19.7 million / $32.1 million, and Giacometti’s iconic sculpture ‘Homme traversant une place par un matin de soleil’ from the private collection of legendary dealer Jan Krugier, which brought £8.5 million / $13.8 million.
