Nine winters ago @stevehouse10 and me climbed #winterdance, an ephemeral ice climb in Hyalite Canyon. Steve is a top drawer alpinist, having climbed the Rupal Face on Nanga Parbat (2005 w/ Vince Anderson) in pure style. As a founder of the @alpinementors program, Steve is dedicated to passing his knowledge of the alpine on to the next generation. He also has a book in the works titled "Training for the New Alpinism" and is an ambassador for the good folks @patagonia. It's always good to gather the tribe, especially for those of is that play with fire, and catch up. The Ouray Ice Festival is this gathering.
