When I was younger I played any sport you could possibly think of! So when Nutcracker came around at my studio every year I could never participate in it. About 4 years ago, when I was in 7th grade, was when I finally chose ballet over all my other activities and performed in my first Nutcracker! Unfortunately the next year I wasn't able to perform. Last Nutcracker was my first Nutcracker performing with the Senior Company dancers at my studio. Although it was very hard work and a lot of learning new choreography I was able to dance as the Ballerina Doll, which as you can imagine was very exciting. I have just finished my 3rd Nutcracker season and I performed as Snow Corps, Marzipan Lead, and Flower Corp. I just love the learning process and how you can see everyone, but especially myself, grow and improve through that process.
