Earlier this year, I had the privilege to work with Paul Salopek as he began this epic 7 year walk, retracing humanities migration out of Africa which began with a simple step 60,000 years ago. Paul and I started this journey on January 10 in the village of Herto Bouri, Ethiopia. Scattered upon the ground where our ancestors oldest human remains.
