Today I incorporated pistol squats into my leg routine. They require flexibility, coordination, and balance as well as muscle strength. Even though they are typically done using your body weight, they are still a challenging exercise used to individually strengthen each leg.
If you aren't able to do pistol squats on your own you can put the appropriate weight on the cable machine(I put 32lbs) and hold onto the handles for assistance when you're coming back up from your squat position. You want to remember to lean forward and not depend on the assistance so much that you're not letting your affective leg work. Remember to push up in your heel!
