Next month will make 12 years since my Dad, Drew Michael Rogers, was taken from this world. His battle to colon cancer was lost and he was saved from his pain and suffering. Before his passing, he wrote each of his 3 children a letter; a letter to be given to us when we reached "the right age." I received mine over the summer. My dad was and still to this day is the strongest man I've ever known. Even before his cancer, he was a person made of sheer strength. I like to think I inherited some of his strength, both mental and physical, and that's why I've become who I am today. I also hope I'm making you proud, Daddy. With where I'm going and what I'm doing with my life. I look to you for strength in my own times of weakness and doubt. And now I have your promise, to be with me always, on my left side right next to my heart as a constant reminder of your everlasting love. I love and miss you Daddy.
