At the Allocodrome in Abidjan, Ivory Coast, one of the best places in the city for authentic Ivorian cuisine -- grilled chicken and fish smothered in an onion, tomato, cucumber vinaigrette, and served with attieke (cassava that has been grated and fermented) and fried plantains (alloco). These two guys sold us cold bottles of beer, and had been in the thick of an animated conversation -- until she walked by.
