Which just ended! Thank goodness. 🙌🏼 But acting has been a very interesting journey. You would never think that it would be as challenging emotionally and mentally as it really is. As an actor, you deal with rejection constantly. Think about one role and how many people audition for that one role (thousands!) there are many many Nos and only one single yes. Going through a lot of rejection can break somebody down if you are not strong enough. I really do believe this industry has helped me face a lot of demons around my self-worth and deserved-ness. I used to be a huge people pleaser. (Still working on that a bit.) but I have realized, in part Thanks to acting and auditioning, that you can only do the best YOU can do and if you don’t fit that role, then it just was not meant for you (Let it go!). So many factors have to go into somebody getting that role, most of the time it isn’t even because of you. So this business teaches you a lot about self perseverance and confidence down to the core. I truly had no idea how much inner strength I would have to learn and embody when I started.
