Park staff transported Boysenberry to the Gulfarium CARE Center, where they checked her bloodwork and took radiographs to see why she was so lethargic. Her bloodwork revealed that she was anemic and had low glucose levels, and staff immediately administered medications and fluids to stabilize her. They also removed multiple liters of gas from her coelomic cavity, and she underwent weight therapy to help counterbalance her floating. Boysenberry has come a long way in her recovery. On October 16, she was healthy enough to be released back into the Gulf of Mexico.
