For bears and other carnivore species, catching prey is only half the battle. Considering a “fall off the bone” meal doesn’t exist, eating their food can be a challenge and a workout in itself. Tearing into meat takes all of their strength, which in turn reinforces their jaw muscles and keeps their teeth, jawbones, and palate properly aligned.
