Pink is a great color. Arguably one of the best. Unless you’re a prey species whose entire life goal is to go unnoticed by predators. Katydids are usually green, yellow, or brown to blend in with the plants around them, but about 1 in 500 katydids have a genetic mutation that causes them to be bright pink. You can see how this could be a problem.
