Wanna hear something funny? In my first post about Mazzy’s Bat Mitzvah, I talked about how hard it was for me to put down my phone and be in the moment. I did it, and had a great time, but there were repercussions for that afterward, because I did not have the joy of reliving the moments I remembered. This was the first major event that I did not document myself and trusted the professional photographer to do it. I struggled with it so much that it took me almost a year to to put together a post about the party, because there were details and moments that weren’t captured. I specifically called out Mike’s delight on the chair during the Horah. But there were many other things missing I didn’t mention because I did not want to be rude to the photographer. Well, it turns out, that for an entire year, I was looking at the photographer’s sneak preview and never realized that he sent an additional email with the full breadth of photos. It’s all there. Mike on the chair, us all dancing as a family, the city backdrop during cocktail hour, family photos with the candle lighting, people playing the carnival games and most importantly, so many Mazzy smiles with teeth. I’m an idiot. Thank you @daverobbinsphotography for doing such a fantastic job! Now I have to rewrite post #2 to include the new photos. 🤦🏻‍♀️
