Mr. Charles Carson has worked at #DowntonAbbey his whole life. He is a trusted confidante of the family, whom he is incredibly fond of. Not as fond, however, as he is of Elsie Hughes, the family housekeeper. Despite their differing views, the pair slowly fall in love and eventually marry, settling into a home just outside the grounds of Downton.

Despite being forced into retirement due to his health, Carson is never too far from the family and always returns to them when they need him most.
