Assembled over some forty years with care, connoisseurship and a keen palate, the wines come from the revered cellars of Pierre Chen, epicurean and aesthete in equal measure, whose collections of both wine and art rank among the greatest in the world. Starting this autumn, in a series of five dedicated auctions in leading locations around the world, Sotheby’s will offer 25,000 bottles from Chen’s legendary collection estimated to realize up to $50m—making it by far the largest and most valuable ever to come to the market. ‘The Epicurean’s Atlas’ will begin at #SothebysHongKong at the end of November as a three-day-long festival where mouthwatering dishes (prepared by some of the world’s greatest chefs!) will be married with exceptional wines in special, open-to-all tasting experiences.
